Lyric Creator offers a robust platform for musicians to input both favorite song lyrics and original compositions in English and Japanese through their iOS devices. This innovative application automatically segments text into syllable units, though users have the option to manually adjust these divisions and group syllables as needed. Once the data is exported to the CT-S1000V, it is ready for playback.

In Phrase Mode, users have the ability to set the playback meter of the lyrics by assigning note values, such as eighth or quarter notes, to individual syllables while incorporating rests. Each lyric tone includes tempo data adjustable through the CT-S1000V. Furthermore, tempo can be synchronized with the MIDI clock from a DAW or other external MIDI device, allowing for precise alignment of vocal phrasing regardless of creative direction.

For those seeking intricate control, the app allows users to edit the phonemes that form syllables. This feature not only enhances vocal clarity but also permits the approximation of regional accents or international pronunciations. It is important to note that the phoneme library is confined to sounds found in standard English and Japanese.

The Lyric Creator imposes a limit on lyric input—up to 100 eighth-note syllables. However, once these lyrics are uploaded to the CT-S1000V, they can be interconnected to form longer sequences. This functionality allows for meticulous refinement of segments at the input stage before they are combined into a complete musical piece.

Additionally, the app enables the transformation of WAV audio samples (16bit/44.1kHz, mono/stereo, up to 10 seconds) stored on mobile devices into original Vocalist patches for use in the CT-S1000V. The editing interface grants users control over attributes such as age, gender, vocal range, and vibrato.

While the 22 Vocalist presets available in the CT-S1000V have been expertly designed for clarity through a blend of various waveforms and white noise elements, user-created Vocalist waveforms may not achieve comparable articulation. Nevertheless, with exploration and experimentation, users can produce unique sounds—including abstract tones reminiscent of the Animal preset.

Connecting a smart device to the CT-S1000V is simple once the Lyric Creator app is installed; lyrics, sequences, and vocal samples can be transferred via USB cable. The app provides access to the internal drive space on the CT-S1000V for file management, including deletion and renaming options. Notably, program files are shared between users through a proprietary format, and Music XML lyric data along with corresponding note values can be imported from a DAW.
